Healthy Halloween special-Mexican pumpkin punch

Very excited in hosting the Halloween party this year? Treat your friends with the fun homemade goodies, and make this Halloween as more healthy and cute with lots and lots of fun and happiness. When you add little healthy goodies with your Halloween recipes it will add more blast to your Halloween holiday party.


Time for cooking: 35 minutes

  • Dark brown sugar- 2 cups
  • Mexican cinnamon sticks- 4
  • Pure pumpkin- 3 ½ cups
  • Lime- 2
  • Rum (optional)
  • Pineapple chunks(optional)
  • Water


Take a pot and pour 12 cups of water and add brown sugar and cinnamon sticks and bring it to boil in a medium heat, stir it well until the sugar dissolves well in the water. Add pumpkin stir well and return it to simmer, meanwhile remove the zest from the limes in wide strips with the peeler and add it to the pot and cook it for 15 minutes in low heat. Cool it until the pumpkin pulp settles at the bottom, it will take 2 to 3 hours to settle down. Measure the liquid into fine mesh strainer and set it over the pitcher, repeat it if necessary to strain out the pumpkin pulp then discard the pulp and lime zest and add the cinnamon stick to the punch and refrigerate it and serve it.
