Clean Eating- what does it actually mean, anyway you are very conscious about your health and you will choose only healthy foods to lead better healthy life. Are you really sure that you are eating clean? This is really very important question that everyone of us must ask ourselves. We think that the packed or bagged foods that we get from our nearby shop are healthy. We always stay in a wrong idea that the packed or bagged foods are healthy because that are sealed and labeled. If you think in that way then I would say that you are 100 percent wrong. Instead of choosing the frozen, bagged or packed food choose the fresh and whole ones to make the things even better.

The basic idea of clean eating is to select and eat the foods that are close to natural form. Select the foods that are fresh instead of choosing the packed foods. Load up more fruits and veggies

These natural foods are the staples of clean eating. Many of the clean eaters will say that all your food products must be fresh. But others say frozen and the canned items are the second best option of clean food. Whatever read the label carefully to make sure the food is not filled with extra sugar or salt. It is best to choose the whole fruit instead of fruit juices which contain less fiber and more sugar. It is good for your health if you get five to nine servings of vegetables and fruits per day.

Watch out for the salt and added sugar

Clean foods are naturally low in salt and sugar and adding the salt and sugar goes against the as natural as possible approach. Since the processed foods are the major source of salt and sugar, you can cut your intake when you avoid them. Read the labels to look for the added salt and sugar even in the foods that are healthy like tomato sauce and yogurt. Keep noting how much you add salt and sugar to your food and try to flavor your food with spices and herbs.

We always come across the word avoid artificial colors and preservatives when we talk about healthy choices of food. It is very important to know that the artificial colors, sweeteners, preservatives and other man-made ingredients don’t have the place in the clean eating diet. Be smart about the meat and dairy

The meat, dairy and eggs you buy at the store come from the animals that get the growth hormones and antibiotics. Clean eaters will avoid it and they choose the organic. Farmer’s market is the good place to learn about where your meat and dairy comes from. Seafood isn’t labeled as organic, so look for items low in mercury and that use sustainable fishing.
